(EDIT: I wrote this while I was protesting the SOPA and PIPA bills, which is why I wanted to wait until midnight to post it. Meanwhile, as I was doing some clothes washing, truechaoticneutral thought up quite a few solutions. Many of the suggestions in that post should at the very least be considered by the mods and the community itself. Also, I crossposted this every-fricking-where.)

So for those not in the know, there has been a lot of contention over the current season, Suite Pretty Cure. There has been a lot of negative thoughts about this season, some deserved and some not. For a lot of us who are enjoying the season, the criticisms have been plentiful and irritating. This doesn't mean that people can't complain. No no. People have been complaining since Fresh. They did it through Heartcatch as well. Disagreeing with fellow fans isn't going to change, nor should it change. 

You know what I want to change? The repetitiveness of the complaints. The way some complaints are phased i.e. "This season sucks because it doesn't meet my every waking whim." Because when it come right down to it, I'm not enjoying myself at the LJ community anymore.


However, I've got questions for both sides of this issue.

So those are my thoughts. The Pretty Cure fandom outside of Japan was a small one. Because of the hit season, Heartcatch Pretty Cure, and other reasons, there has been an influx of fans. But the negative comments and the backlash to those comments aren't anything new. I remember when Fresh had review after review of bashing. I remember when Heartcatch had rants against it. This kind of thing isn't going to stop because we don't all like the same things. But that doesn't mean you have to be overbearing about the things you don't like. Or do like.

All of us need to learn when to step back and repeat to yourself "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Short version: Hello I am a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and it is a 'racially' problematic show.

EDIT: Fixing grammar issues. Excuse: I was half-asleep and depressed when I wrote this. I'd also like to point out that LOTS of shows and cartoons, those I have watched and haven't, most likely have -ism issues. And I'm going to call those out too! WANNA FIGHT ABOUT IT? 8D

STABLE(ISH) INTERNET THAT'S WHAT

I finally got my own Cricket wirless thingy! Now I can lurk like crazy whenever I want. :D

For those who don't frequent dA, I have temp-job coming up next week! Three days of training first, though, and it's from 9 to 5. But a job's a job. \o/

Also, anyone know of another internet payment source other than Paypal? Or should I stick with dA's service No wait they tend to use people's work for their random con appearances. So anything else or just Paypal.

Now there are two main things I have to say I'm sorry for.

1) (the real life one) Sorry for not communicating with you guys more~ The internet is no excuse 'cause I could probably find a net cafe. My computer problems aren't an excuse 'cause I think I just need to re-calibrate my battery. Most of you guys know I have communication issues, but I'm sorry anyways and I'll try to contact you more. <3

2) (the fandom one) You know when you understand something but it still doesn't always get through? I believe that creators shouldn't have to answer to what fans say, because as a creator, I want to put more of myself versus more of somebody else. But then I go and say something else.

( CLAMP-wise I'm not taking back everything I said, but I am sorry that I expected some explanation. )

I still think the plot pile-up was a bad idea and that they've been relying too much on page spreads. And I wish Nekoi would shorten up those legs. lol! Meme post next~

Kay, seriously, I just don't understand this ending...at all. Yes, yes I get the gist of it but- Look, TRC started out as a fun romp thru most of the universes CLAMP has made. Now look at it. Compare this ending to CCS ending, not counting the epilogue. THAT'S AN ENDING. A loose one, but an ending. TRC didn't end. It just. STOPPED.

So I guess those crazy fanboys (on that one forum I can't remember) were right. The last good CLAMP series was probably X1999 (something that I didn't read, so for me it'd be Angelic Layer) and even that's iffy. *sigh* Someone please stop me from reading Kobato. God help me, I'm starting to like that one a little and it's slowly turning towards the CLOW REED ARGHGLEFLAGLE.
