The Good, The Bad and the Ugly RUNDOWN!

SOOOOooo...What's up! I can tell you what's up!

First the sad news:

The founder of our school's illustration department, Barbara Bradley has passed away recently. I never got to take on of her classes before she retired and I regret not at least trying. But her spirit lives on in her students (who eventually became teachers) and in her art. Click here for a way better summary of her life's work. I can only hope to be as accomplished as she was.

The Disney Store at Union Square is *gulp* closing. Now I didn't really appreciate hearing the High School Musical soundtrack or bubblegum pop every time I walked pass it, but damn that doesn't warrant it being shut down! How did this happen any ways? For those who don't know, Union Square is a spot in San Francisco that attract tourist like bees to...something sweet. So why the hell is it closing? I have no idea. And it makes me sad. And they're not selling DVDs there.

The comic shop in the Metreon Mall has closed down which is why I missed Free Comics Day. D: The store was having trouble in the first place but I didn't know it was that bad. It seems that a lot of shops in San Fran are closing down. Though with our economy the way that it is....



And now the ZOMG YAY! news:

ZOMGIRONMANWASTHESHIZZZZNITE! SOGOOOOOOOD!

...And I managed to submit one thing to my college's spring show. Eh.


So the ugly news? None really, but I do need to get my crap into storage, stat! Oh yeah and FINALS~ ARRRRGH!

Well there was the fact that I told my Myth and Symbols teacher about xxxHolic. The next class I saw him, he was looking at me like I had a mushroom growing out off my head. Then he started talking about how manga has both erotic and non-erotic genres. I took me a while to get it, but yeah, my teacher actually went to a hentai site instead of looking up Holic. ...I've got to email him to set things straight so he'll stop thinking that I'm a pervert. THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A PRIVATE FACT DAMNIT!!!
