Friggin' mid-point reviews...Had to gather a portfolio together and give it to the head of illustration. Wish me luck. I'ma need it....

I should be doing homework, but I'm taking a break damnit.

Also! It turns out that one of my coworkers liketh the animu! That's right! And she knows of the latest stuff too, like Claymore and Loveless. It seems that she likes bishounen...a lot. She wants me to draw one for her. I jokingly asked for $10. She's like "OK! I know you're a staving art student." Not one to argue too much with getting moneys, I accepted. HOORAY FOR COMMISSIONS!

Kay, so I owe [profile] rhap_chan answers to this meme:

Comment on this post. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.

Animal Cops: One of the more entertaining shows on the Animal Planet network. It is what it sounds like: the mis-adventures of various animal control officers. One of my favorite seasons was the one in Miami 'cause of the crazy crocodile wrangler they had. :)

Asteroid Senshi:
The fan-name for the Sailor Quartet who is, in turn, the 'true' forms of the Amazon Quartet. Hmm, to put it simply, bad girls who were originally good, turned good again. Oh the wonderful world of Sailor Moon. Never change. The girls in this quartet are: Pallas, Ceres, Vesta and Juno. They are cool-looking and awesome. The end.

Black Cat:
While black cats in general are cute and awesome and slightly scary, I'm referring to the anime/manga called Black Cat. It's about an assassin-turned-bounty hunter with a Deep Dark Past who gets over his bloodlust. The anime suffers twhat many anime do: it has a bad/odd ending and the manga is better. It started out so good too! D:

Lingerie Senshi Papillon Rose:
A hentai parody of Sailor Moon. Seriously. That's it. However, it's only had one OVA out and an anime that cut out all of the sexual attacks. ...The character designs are cool. Why yes I do look at Playboy for the articles. :|

Oban Star-Racers:
A French-Japan cartoon about a girl named Eva who likes to race. She has a Tragic Loved One (yay for random capitalization) in the form of her mother and a father who abandoned her because he's an idiot because he thought he wouldn't be a good enough parent for her. But she had been waiting for him as he continued to manage racing teams. Eventually, Eva (who calls herself Molly to
fool her stupid dad) ends up hitch-hiking on to the ship that was taking her dad away to an intergalactic race. Yep. It's that awesome. The ending though...I'd say it suffers the same thing Black Cat did, only not as bad. Still give it a shot.

Othello (the manga):
One of the best parodies of the shoujo genre EVAR. You've got the girl who has crappy 'friends' and has a crushed childhood dream. There's the split-personality issue throughout the whole thing that gets properly resolved. There's the 'bad' boy love interest. AND IT'S ALL HUCKING FILARIOUS. It never really takes itself too seriously, which honestly, kills a lot of stories out there.

Sukisyo:
HEY IT'S LIKE STAY NIGHT FOR GURLS HUR HUR. This anime was based off of a hardcore yaoi game/novels. It actually is a good story on its own, without much sex in the show at all. A slice-of-life with a dash of sci-fi weirdness in it, it does what Gravitation could never do: stay CONSISTENT with the story's mood. That's a rant for another day.

Ooh! Ohh! I wanna do this meme! Step up folks!

Pick as many fictional characters as you want from a anime/manga/book/video game/etc. I know and I'll answer the following questions to the best of my abilities.

1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Do they grip you emotionally?
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by their relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how do you see yourself interacting with him/her? (Would you get along well? Fall in love with? Dislike? Friendly rivalry? etc etc)
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about (if you dislike) to someone whose new to the fandom?
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
